Stuck - 15th June

The June 15th Sketch over at Stuck is here, and this  is what I did with it. I used MMEs alphabet soup range and some thickers. I followed the sketch almost completly for this one, and love how it turned out!

ScrapJacked - June

This month over at Scrap Jacked I chose Lisas layout to jack. I liked her design of the page, and it is something that is very NOT me. It was fun to give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration Lisa. I used some echo park papers and embelies!

MME - Blog 24 Challenge

The current challenge over at MME this month is a sketch challenge. You can see the sketch here and this is what I did with it using the alphabet soup range. There is also some Cosmo Cricket and Basic Grey alphas and I used some thread. I stayed very true to the sketch except made it a little bit smaller. You also had to use  the theme of Song Lyrics. I chose The Greatest Love of all by good old Whitney Houston. The photos were taken on my very first mothers day, and having my baby boy is the greatest gift I could have.

KIU - June Challenge

The challenge over at KIU this month is to do a timeline and use a min of 3 photos with journalling of what the time line is. I chose to do these photos of Hayden discovering my hands. Sorry the photo is a little grainy, not sure what happened there, I think there wasn't much light when I took the photo. I used some fancy pants, some Charms Creations, some old brads, thread and my new cricut!
I edited this post to add the above photo. I wasn't happy with the layout photo I posted, so I took this one of the close up detail. I stitched around each photo to make a photo mat, and also the detail in the wave.

Scrap That Baby Prompt 30: Favourite Toy

The current challenge over at STB is favourite toy, so of course I had to scrap about Noel. He is a guide dog toy that we bought one day out shopping, and he is just crazy about him! He didn't have a name for a while and I asked Mike one day what we should call him, so he called him Noel. I used some very old Basic Grey on this layout, with some very old die cuts that I don't even remember the brand, and some lil red rocket bits and pieces. Oh and some very old Heidi Swapp letters and some new Kaiser letter stickers.

On another note, I went to the Scrapbook Show at the convention center yesterday and I was soooooo very disappointed. This was my birthday present to go, with Mike babysitting him there with no complaints (given my little man will not take a bottle, so I have to take him every with me if I need to go out for more than a couple of hours!). I hardly spent any money as there was nothing new at the show at all. All the shops were trying to palm off very old stock. I would have been better saving my entry fee and buying stuff on line (which I did when I got home). Given the australian $ is so good at the moment, I expected the sellers to have heaps of all the new stuff. Anyway, their loss as I have now spent all my money elsewhere!

123 June Challenge

The Challenge over at 123 this month is 'Brown + Create + Tape'. This is what I did with all of that. I used some old papers and chippy from DCVW, and used my new Cindy Loo Cricut Cartridge (yes I have a Cricut!!), and used some K and Co Paper Tape, some random lace and sticker letters. I love how this one turned out. It reads 'Who Could Believe We Could Create Somone So Perfect''.

MLSB Sketch challenge

You can see the sketch here at MLSB. This is what I did with it mixing the Lil Critter and Imaginary Friends lines and using their little alpha stickers and I even used up some really old MLSB letters covering them in some paper. And finished it off with a few bits and pieces from my stash. The journalling reads "Even your favourite toy isn't safe ".
